wth posted : On ours, if you don't turn it on at least once every 4-6 months or so, the gas valve will stick in the closed position. Removing the lower grille and giving the main gas valve 1 or 2 light...

comp posted : Ours seems to take a min to get going the first time of every season. Turn it on and the pilot clicks for minute before it lights.. any time after it goes up right away
